Bagua

Change · Direction · Alignment · Protection

A map of eight trigrams symbolizing change, direction, and the ordering of natural forces.

The eight trigrams of the Yijing correspond to heaven, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain, and lake, and later became important in divination, Daoist practice, and feng shui. Bagua motifs are often chosen as symbols of orientation, energetic alignment, and protective boundaries.
